JEWISH HIGH HOLIDAYS & KEY CELEBRATION - NEW YEAR 5786
High Holidays of Jewish Celebrations 2025: Prepare for the season of biblical Jewish holidays, which runs from September 23 to October 15, 2025. This period includes Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, and Sukkot, marking a time of reflection, judgment, and celebration in the Jewish community. Introduction
WHAT HAPPENS IF WE ARE CONVICTED WITH BAD DECREES FROM ABOVE?
Since it is also the annual day of judgment for all humanity, there is a pause from the supplications of Selichot for two days. Viduy [Confession of sins] is not said during humanity's annual judgment.
While we are judged in heaven, we remain silent on Earth. Then we perform Selichot for a few more days to try to change the bad decrees into good ones, to merit Forgiveness on Yom Kippur [the day of the year established by the Eternal God for the atonement of sins when He wills].
This year, the day of atonement (Yom Kippur), on which, God willing, He erases our faults, errors, and rebellions (sins), falls from the evening of October 1st to the evening of October 2nd (about 25 hours of fasting), or the 10th day of the Hebrew month of Tishrei.
Are they like 22 Days of Holidays?
Well no, not quite, it's not actually 22 days of non-stop celebrations, there are breaks in between; right after Rosh HaShana, there is a minor fast then some 7 days preparation and then the celebrations continue with the Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur), followed by another 4 days of breaks.
FIN DE LAS FIESTAS DEL 7 DE OCTUBRE AL 15 DE OCTUBRE
Then all celebrations resume and end on October 15 with the end of the Sukkot festival (the Feast of Tabernacles this year runs from October 7 to October 15, 2025), with the celebrations of Shemini Atzeret and Simchat Torah.
